"RPG Dice Game" is a highly strategic card game comprised of many cards which feature historical inventions. Each card has an image, year and description of an invention. Using these cards, players get back to the past and back to the future, and witness historical inventions. The game is simple and easy to learn and highly strategic and enjoyable. Players will learn about great inventions.
Rules
The number of players : 2-4
Each game consists of multiple rounds, and each round consists of multiple travels. First, choose how many rounds you are going to play. Next, players should decide the playing order, using dice or anything. Players deal 15 cards to each player. Once dealt, players sorts the cards in chronological order in their hands.
Each round always starts with "back to the past travel". The first player can play any card he / she wants (put the card on the table). Then the next player should play an older card.
Then the next player also should play an older card. Each player can pass at any time. Continue this cycle until all players except 1 player pass. Then the "back to the past travel" ends.
Here is the example (3 players). Player A plays the card of year 2005, then Player B plays the card of year 1985. Player C plays the card of year 1960. Player A Plays the card of year 1926. Player B passes. Player C plays the card of year 1896. Player A passes. Player B and player A have passed.
Once the "back to the past travel" ends, "back to the future travel" begins. Put aside the played cards and the player who did not pass (player C in the example) can start the travel by playing any card he / she wants. The next player should play a more recent card. The next player also should play a more recent card. Continue until all players except 1 player pass. Then "the back to the future travel" ends and the player who did not pass can start "back to the past travel" by playing any card. Players continue back to the past travel and back to the future travel until they play all the cards they have.
The first player of each travel can choose to play multiple cards in the same decade. In this case, the following players must play the same number of cards.
Here is the example. Player C plays the 2 cards of 1904 and 1908, Player A passes. Player B plays the 2 cards of 1950 and 1956. Player C plays the 2 cards of 1982 and 1988. Player B plays the 2 cards of 1995 and 1997. Player C passes. Player A and Player C have passed. Put aside the played cards and Player B can start the back to the past travel by playing any card (and any number of cards in the same decade). Please note that only the first player of each travel can choose the number of cards which should be played.
To make the game more strategic, there are special effect cards. If a card which has "Ending the travel" is played, the travel immediately ends and the player who played the card can start the next travel by playing any card. (in this case too, change the direction of travel, past or future)
Once a player plays all the cards he / she has, the player wins the round and he gets 3 points (in case of 3 players). The next player who plays all the cards he / she has gets 2 points (in case of 3 players), The remaining player gets 1 point. Complete all rounds and the player who has got most points will win.
Manufacturing cards costs a lot of money. If you think the game is interesting, please consider backing the project. For ¥5,000 you will get a copy of the game and Special Thanks credit. For ¥10,000, you will get 2 copies of the game and a digital book which features historical inventions. The more funds, the more cards we can create for players to play, thanks!
The game will be highly strategic and enjoyable. It is our dream to invent a creative and strategic card game which everyone can enjoy. With this project, we would like to invent "RPG Dice Game" together with backers, thanks!
