Everything starts with an Idea...

At Gaiagames, we have spent over 10 years specializing in presenting knowledge, science, and environmental education through boardgames. And, naturally, we are huge dinosaur fans (who isn’t?).

And we noticed: There are already ton of dinosaur-themed games, card games, survival titles, and puzzles, —surprisingly— scientific accuracy often left something to be desired. For a long time, it has been our vision to develop a dinosaur game that realistically captures the rich variety of species and the diversity of life during the Cretaceous period, while remaining both engaging and fun. After all, we can let you in on a little secret: the Cretaceous period was home to much more than just those famous "giant lizards."

After more than 3 years of development and research—and the analysis of a great deal of fossilized dinosaur dung (from the "Hell-Creek- and Lance Formation) the moment has finally arrived: we present to you, “PALEOGON.”

How is it played?

Paleogon is a tile laying game with a rich variety of different setups and gamemodes due to an exciting cooperative campaign and different modules. We focused on melting the theme of the game and the game-mechanics together to give u an immersive feeling while playing "Paleogon". The Game-Mechanics are inspired by the tile laying game "Ecogon".

Your goal is to combine the prehistoric animals and Plants in the most effective way to feed the animals, score points and unlock bonus actions! Due to action tiles u will determine what you can do during your turn. Sometimes you can place new habitats to let your ecosystem grow, sometimes mighty events will shake the ground, volcanos will erupt, stampedes will ocure and they will all destroy parts of your ecosystem.
