There is a place for which not enough words exist to tell its infinite stories, nor to describe the characters that take part in those stories… A place where real life is so rich and full that it goes beyond the borders of imagination and magic. Just as "El Dorado", Comala, Atlantis, Camelot, Emerald City, and a thousand other places imagined by writers, artists, adventures and dreamers, Macondo holds a special place in the hearts of whoever wishes to find it. The Macondo Tarot may serve as a compass along the way. Welcome to Macondo!

New symbols for a new tarot card deck: “Once separated from their context, symbols lose power and must be rediscovered”. KARL GUSTAV JUNG, Archetypes and the Unconscious.
The Macondo Tarot was freely inspired by the characters and situations of Gabriel García Márquez's masterpiece, One Hundred Years of Solitude, and by characters from the popular Colombian Caribbean tradition. These figures also maintain a relationship with the archetypes of the classic tarot and, through it, with European mythology and with some of the symbols of the esoteric tradition.
By the art of Caribbean alchemy and Macondian magic, four symbols inspired by the García Márquez’s novel were created that adjust in equivalence to the traditional suits of a Tarot deck and other traditional playing cards: yellow butterflies (cups and hearts), tears (swords and spades), golden fish (coins and diamonds), and tropical flowers (wands and clubs).
