The Jeemu Story

We're a team of Master's students at Tetr College of Business, from three countries, who came to Shanghai with one mission: to build a real product from scratch and bring it to life.

We LOVE board games. Monopoly, Risk, Jenga, cards you name it, we play it.

One game we always came back to was the block tower game, especially the versions with questions printed on each block. For a few rounds, it's magic. But then the game quickly gets repetitive. Our brains memorised what each block said, and with the surprise element lost, the game wasn't fun anymore.

We wondered if it was just us, so we started asking around. We interviewed dozens of players, and the answer was always the same: they loved the game, but once they'd seen every question, it got boring and went back on the shelf.

So we asked ourselves: what if the core game stayed the same, but the experience never did?

That question became Jeemu.

Jeemu is a smart dock paired with a set of blocks or cards, each carrying an NFC tag. Here's how it works:

• Pull a block from the tower.
• Tap it on Jeemu.
• A fresh question or challenge appears on the display. Complete it, and the game moves on.

Because the questions live in Jeemu, they change every time you play. Swap question packs to change the mood or create your own: Party, Date Night, Family, Icebreakers, Classroom and more!

Our final prototypes are performing well, and we're now working with manufacturers to bring Jeemu into production. 

Why we care

Games are one of the few things left that bring people around the same table with their phones face down. We've all had nights where one good question turned strangers into friends, or friends into family. We built Jeemu so those nights don't wear out. Same tower, a brand new game, every time.
